The Crawfish Boil
Available as Fine Art Reproduction
Crawfish boils are a way of life in Louisiana and an important part of our culture. We buy a 40 lb. sack or two of live crawfish, freshly pulled from the water, and gather together in someone’s backyard. The pot is put on to boil and is filled with seafood seasonings, onion, garlic, red potatoes, ears of corn and anything else you may think of. Once it’s done, the whole pot is lifted out and the hot boiled crawfish is poured onto the picnic table. Lots of food, drinks and good times abound! This was painted right after the Saints won the Super Bowl!
